Snowman Season Treat Bag, Gift Tags and Year End Closeout

Isn't this just darling? This is my favorite way to use the 3 x 6 Gusseted Cellophane Bags. These bags are in the Annual Stampin'Up! Catalog and are also my gift to my online customers who place an order in December using this months Host Code.

I used a strip of Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper for the inside of the bag. I cut the strip to 2 3/4" x 9" and then score at 1". 3", 7 1/2". I stapled the bag shut and placed my image over the staple.

I rubbed the Embossing Buddy over some Real Red cardstock and then stamped my image with the Versamark Pad and sprinkled White Embossing Powder over it and heated it with the Heat Tool. I added some Rhinestones around the image. I had cut the image with the Stitched Shapes Dies and attached it to a scalloped circle which was cut with Costal Cabana cardstock using the Layering Circles Dies. The ribbon is in the Coastal Cabana color and is currently retired by Stampin'Up!

I had some leftover small pieces of the Let It Snow DSP and did not want to waste it so I made a couple of gift tags with them. The photo makes this look like a card but it is a 3" x 3" card that I am using as a gift tag. I stamped to and from inside the tag. This is included in the Snowman Season Stamp Set. The Real Red cardstock square under the snowman is cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies. The snowman was stamped and then punched out with the Snowman Punch. I layered the DSP on Shaded Spruce cardstock cut to 3" x 6"  and then folded in half to get the 3 x 3 size.

Here is another gift tag using Coastal Cabana cardstock and the Let It Snow DSP. They turned out really cute.

I hope you like my projects.  This bundle of products will retire the end of December and will no longer be available.

Stampin'Up! has released the Year End Closeout list which does include some discounted items. Also available is the retiring products list. You can view these lists here.

Snowman Season Christmas Cards and December Host Code Gift

Snowman Season Bundle #152337 Save 10%

I can't believe it is December already! Where has this year gone? It is definitely time to start making your holiday cards!! I want to show you a fun bundle which includes the Snowman Punch and the Snowman Season stamp set. It is just so much fun to work with, so festive!

The colors are so striking! I used Coastal Cabana, Shaded Spruce and Real Red. These are the colors in the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper that coordinates with this stamp set.
The snowman was stamped and then cut out using the Stitched Shapes Dies and the the Layering Circles Dies (the scalloped large die). I colored the Snowman scarf and hat
with Light Shaded Spruce Stampin'Blend Marker and the Light Real Red Stampin'Blend Marker. I added some Snowfall Accents Puff Paint to the falling snow image above the snowman. I sprinkled some clear glitter over the Puff Paint.

Snowfall Accents Puff Paint #150691

Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper #150393

I used the Snowman Punch to make the above card. Isn't he cute!! I cut a oval panel with Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted the Snowman on it using Stampin'Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment on Real Red Cardstock with Versamark Stamp Pad and then covered it with White Embossing Powder and embossed it with the Heat Tool. I rubbed  the Embossing Buddy over the cardstock first before heat embossing to remove the static from the paper so as to not get unwanted embossing powder sticking to other areas of the cardstock.

Using Painted Harvest Stamp Set for Thanksgiving

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a small gathering this year and I decided to incorporate a papercrafting project into my Thanksgiving table setting.  I worked ahead on this so as not to be cooking and stamping at the same time. There is more on this project in this post here.

Here is a close up of my project. I used old baby pictures of everyone and copied them to insert into the frame. The baby in the picture above is ME! It is a very old picture for sure! I had these sitting at everyone's place at the table. The sentiment on the photo frame is from the Painted Harvest stamp set and says "Gather Together and Give Thanks". Really just perfect for a Thanksgiving project.

I just love the Sunflower images in this stamp set, so detailed because of the two-stamp stamping technique. It yields a beautiful watercolor effect image. There are no dies to cut out the image. I cut it out by hand using Paper Snips. There is a Leaf Punch to punch out the leaves.

Don't forget to view how to make this project on my previous post about this project.

Don't forget my November Host Code ends November 30!

Triangle Box Tutorial Using Come Together Stamp Set by Stampin'Up!

Here is the tutorial I mentioned yesterday. This is a super cute little triangle shaped box that is perfect for holding a small gift or treats. This would be cute on your Thanksgiving table as a little party favor for your guests.

Here is a picture of the pattern:

Directions to make the box:
  • Cut a piece of cardstock 7" x 9 3/4"
  • On the long side (9 3/4" side) score at 2" and 5"
  • Turn the cardstock to the 7 " side and score at 1 3/4", 4 1/4" and 7 1/4"
  • Where you see the X in the photo cut away this section along score lines
  • In the section above the area where you cut away one square ( bottom of above photo) measure 1 1/2" which is the center of the square and score from that mark on each side to the opposite corner as shown in the photo

Above is what your box should look like after doing the above steps.

Add Tear and Tape to the one flap as pictured above. Just raise the bottom flap and adhere to the Tear and Tape flaps.

This is how you form the box! Next step is to close the box and decorate.

I just added some velcro I had on hand. I just cut a very small piece from the strip so as to not get a very strong hold.

I just adhered the put together velcro to the top of the box first, then closed the box and pushed to get it to stick to the box and then separated by opening the box. This way your two pieces of velcro are in the correct place on the box. You could also just use ribbon wrapped around the box and under your focal point image to hold the box closed.

Here again is the completed project:

I hope you all like this little box! I sure did when I saw it on Pinterest.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

More Gather Together Stamp Set Projects

I had a few scraps on my desk and wanted to make something with them. I just love this color, it is Pretty Peacock cardstock and Stampin'Pad. I promise to move on to another stamp set!! I used the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Come Together Designer Series Paper.

This is a very simple card.  I used a die from the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut out the square. I stamped the pumpkin using the Crumb Cake Stampin'Pad and stamped over that the sentiment using the Pretty Peacock Stampin'Pad.

I added a Whisper White Panel on the inside that measures 4 " x 5 1/4" and stamped the pumpkin duo inside using the Crumb Cake Stampin'Pad.

Isn't this the cutest little box! This is not my idea, I came across this idea on Pinterest.  It will hold some treats or a small gift.

This is what the box looks like open! I just added a small piece of velcro to hold the box closed. You need to add Tear and Tape which is a strong adhesive to put the box together. You only put the tape on one side of the flaps to hold the box together. Stay tuned I will be working on a pattern tutorial for you on my next post. I hope to post that tomorrow.

I hope you like my projects for today and it inspires you to CREATE! Don't forget my Host Code gift for your online orders! The info on this is below!

Come Together Fall Card in Pretty Peacock

I just love the Come Together Designer Series Paper, so colorful and such lovely designs in the paper. This is a non traditional color in the dsp, it is a very beautiful blue called Pretty Peacock. Of course since all Stampin'Up! papers coordinate, there is a Pretty Peacock cardstock color as well and a Stampin'Pad and Alcohol markers in the same color!

I cut a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock for the panel across the width of the card. I used a circle die to cut the Whisper White circle panel and stamped the sentiment with the Pretty Peacock Stampin'Pad. I stamped the wheat image with Crumb Cake Stampin'Pad. The pumpkins are non traditional in that they are blue! I stamped them with Black Memento Stamp Pad and colored them with the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin'Blend Alcohol marker. I used the Color Lifter marker to remove some of the color from the pumpkins.

The leaf is cut using the Gathered Leaves Dies. These dies cut and emboss the image. I pressed the metal die into the Pretty Peacock Stampin'Pad and then cut the image out using Crumb Cake Cardstock. I adhered some doubled up Linen Thread on the leaf using a glue dot.

Here is the quick and easy Christmas card you can make with the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper. The greeting is from the Snowman Season stamp set. The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana and Shaded Spruce. I stamped the greeting with Shaded Spruce Stampin'Pad. The two colors really work well together.

I want to show you the cutest ever gift card holder and it is really easy to make!

This project was made using the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. You can find this the Holiday Catalog.

I used the sentiments for the Snowman Season Stamp set also in the Holiday Catalog. The greeting on the front of the card however is from a retired Stampin'Up! stamp set.

The cardstock used is Coastal Cabana, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White, Real Red. The greeting on the inside of the card was stamped with Shaded Spruce Stampin'Pad and the snow flakes were stamped with Coastal Cabana Stampin'Pad.

Here are the instructions to make the gift card holder:

Above is a picture of the fold you will make which is as you can see a 2 valley folds and a mountain fold.
  • Start with a piece of cardstock cut 4 1/4" x 11"
  • Score at 4 1/4", 5 1/2", 6 3/4"
  • Using your scoring tool create a valley fold at the 4 1/4" score line and the 6 3/4" score line and a mountain fold at the 5 1/2" score line
  • On the wrong side of the paper place Tear and Tape along the full length of the bottom and up the right and left sides of the fold.
  • Use large square die to cut on the fold line an opening for your gift card. You will need at least 1/4" left on each edge.
Here is another idea for a gift card holder

This is just a little different layout. I added a panel of Whisper White cardstock at the bottom and then the Let it Snow Designer Series Paper. I stamped the greeting on front. This paper is just so cute!

Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper #150393
It is just so darling! You will love this paper! Tomorrow I will show you a easy Christmas card make with this paper.
